To jump or not to jump? That is the question. We’ve seen celebs with serious style continue to try out the jumpsuit over the past year or so, and after our post last week on Byrdie Bell’s choice of a sparkly Chanel onepiece, we’re thinking the trend may just keep on going…

Katie caught quite a bit of flack for her all white jumpsuit with harem style pants, but this concept has been all over the Pre-Fall ’09 shows. She certainly pulled it off back in the day with a sassy black ensemble.

Maggie & Gwyn also opted for black… and pulled it off!

Maybe we should be closing out 2008 in a LBJ instead of an LBD? The strapless satin look from Paul & Joe is one option, but the McQueen jumpsuit tux might have had us at Happy New Year. What do you think?

It wouldn’t be the holidays without parties like the Winter Wonderland Ball held at the New York Botanical Gardens. And to make things a bit more fabulous, this year’s gathering was sponsored by Chanel, so naturally the dresses were absolutely fantastic…

Embellished details ruled the evening.

Junior Chair Byrdie Bell opted for a glamorous Chanel jumpsuit that simply sparkled.

We absolutely loved Erin Featherston’s wintery grey gown! And a little fur stole completed this classic look.

The Ones We Love is a project highlighting young and talented photographers from around the world. Each artist contributed six photographs of the person(s) who is most important to them, taken outdoors in a natural setting. The goal of the website is to portray the people who are loved, cherished, and inspirational to these artists, and also showcase the differences and similarities in the photographs each of them took within the same guidelines.

The list of photographers is long, and the photos all pretty awesome. Check it out.

Esau Mwamwaya has been mixing things up with plenty of artists this year (remember when we blogged about him back in September?) and has finally released his album The Very Best, featuring all these collaborations and more.

The talented David Downtown has been capturing the greatest designer garments since 1996. With illustrations from Dior to Valentino, as well as creating the cover for the book 100 Years of Fashion Illustration (above left), his pieces are just as covet worth as the real designs.

So, we’re thinking that after all this holiday cheer business is over and done with, we’re gonna need a little vacay. Mexico anyone?

Lucky for us, one of our favorite venues here in LA, the Hotel Cafe has come out with a CD featuring some of their biggest artists including Sarah Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson, who wrote an original song for the album that you can preview in the video below…
