Much like the cutesy illustrations that accompany our daily dose of Daily Candy, artist Kat Macleod is the illustrator behind Michi Girl – an Aussie fashion forecast site. Her work recently caught our eye with this playful use of those I <3 NY bags we’re always seeing being blown through the subway and down the streets of Manhattan…
Not one to play to favorites, she’s also created a few other ‘looks’ for Paris and London…
We’ll keep our biased opinion to ourselves on which one we love best. Check out more of her fashion inspired illustrations right here.
If you haven’t heard of Playing for Change yet, get yourself schooled and read about this organization and the amazing works they’re doing. The least of which is this:
Musicians from city streets over the world contributing to recreate songs like this one. Feel like doing a little good today? Purchase the CD. Feel like hearing a little good? Play the video. Happy Tuesday.
If we needed proof that fashion bloggers have reached celebrity status, we’ve got it. Canadian department store, Holt Renfrew, recently paid tribute to some of the best with these amazing window displays…
From Jak & Jil’s always edgy style…
To Toronto’s own I want I got.
To fashion darling Garance Dore.
We wonder if we’ll see the same concepts soon in the states? C’mon Barneys. You know you want to…
Turn up the heat with bright colors and sexy shapes, and you’re sure to create some fireworks of your own this weekend…

Have you popped over to the Chanel website lately? We’re loving the way they’re sharing their behind the scenes moments as well as Karl’s little cameos and films…
Like Lily Allen’s shoot as the face of Chanel’s next handbag line.†(She looks very Queen of Hearts here, don’t you think?)
Shopping†and styling with Freida Pinto…
And behind the scenes at the Venice show. There’s so much gorgeousness on this site we’re already addicted.
Not everyone in LA lives by the beach. Or owns a pool. Which is why we’re very thankful for the rooftop pool at The Standard – one of our favorites haunts for a little relief from the heat (not to mention a the party ensues after the sun has gone down).
As for what we’re wearing… why not start with a Hermes beach blanket and work from there?
Add a pair of Vienna Line sunglasses, Missoni bikini and comfy Musa sandals, and we’re all set. What’s your favorite summer haunt or hotel pool?
