Silver Lake, nestled right in between Hollywood and Echo Park, is fondly known as the Williamsburg of the West. This city is the burgeoning cultural hood of Los Angeles that is home to up and coming artists, musicians, and loads of hipsters.
Vintage is a staple, as such, the typical Silver Laker will be seen rocking flowing Navajo print dresses, leather jackets, vintage shades, skinny jeans and ombre hair. With lots of independent boutiques and vintage shops (we love WAREHOUSE), the closets of Silver Lake are piled high with gems and one of a kind finds! One of the more well known hubs in Silver Lake is the infamous Sunset Junction which is home to intelligentsia (get ready for some amazing people watching), bar keeper, and the adorable cafe stella.
With past and present famous indie residents like Jenny Lewis, Karen O, Henry Rollins and Beck, this neighborhood is a magnet for good music and good times. A local dining hotspot is Forage, which serves up organic cooking with all locally made ingredients from the farmers market. Post dins, you can skip on over to the Cha Cha lounge for loud music and stiff drinks. Oh and don’t forget to snap a few pics in their photo booth…it’s a must!
