Keith Richards’ Knuckles, Richard Prince’s Stained Shirt

Keith Richards’ hands by Francesco Carrozzini

There is one Italian who can shoot people in a way that exposes their true character — or caricature, as the case may be — or even make them more alluring than they really are. Photographer Francesco Carrozzini is one such guy. At only 28 years old, he is so talented in what he does that designer Diane Von Furstenberg opened up her studio on 14th Street to him the night before Monday’s Met Ball. The guests who payed homage — Francesca Sozzani, Editor in Chief of Vogue Italia, Italian fashion mogul Lapo Elkann, and artist Jeff Koons, whom Carrozzini photographed — only add to his esteem.

The work speaks for itself. Check out Bob Deniro, artist Richard Prince, and actor John Malkovich (the bum carrying the chair), and global socialite Daphne Guinness as a brunette magician, in slideshow below. (Work is on display now at Diane Von Furstenberg, 440 West 14th Street, NYC.)
