‘Florence and the Machine’ is a pop/rock act fronted by ‘Florence’ herself with collaborations by a mixture of other artists who provide the backing music to her voice. Her voice has been the soundtrack to our English ears ever since she stepped onto the scene early last year. Florence released Lungs the band’s debut album in the summer of 2009. Florence is famous for her cover of  ’The Source’ featuring Candi Staton’s ‘You’ve Got the Love’ which reached the number one spot in the single charts. Her performances are deep, soulful and utterly compelling, which led to a sold out 2010 tour in 20 minutes!
