So many summertime fancies going round NYC: art parties, openings, secret concerts in basements and photo studios, and the opening of a new black lacquered bar with a pool at the Standard Hotel, that I could not help myself from noticing certain trends. Lady Bunny in blonde wig and sequins poses from my lens at the Visionaire magazine tribute party to supermodel Iman at the new Standard black bar, and she sets the mark for men who prefer to be ladies. For actual blokes, as already seen in other pix on the Hudson site, stripes prevail with rockers like Adam Green and Humberto, the owner of Opening Ceremony. Boys will wear hats, even in warm weather, evidenced by Sean Lennon and cutie jewelry designer Eddie Borgo, seen here getting a smooch from platinum-haired stylist Natasha Royt. Also check out the lad in the cool Marc Jacobs white shirt with black piping, great with Hudson jeans! Caution: you need to be as gorgeous as model rocker Jamie Burke to pull off the tee with heart decal. For the ladies, Grecian tunics, whether worn as dresses or over a pair of Hudson skinnies, always work. Ditto for Marc Jacobs bags, seen on the two lovelies in our slideshow. Finally, check out the Erickson Beamon necklace with so many gorgeous stones that it makes the perfect accessory to a Hudson tank and jeans, so hot!
