The Royal Wedding – The Hangover

With the Royal Wedding firmly behind us, the nation is now experiencing a collective come down. The mass of street parties on the 29th April ensured that revellers woke up the next morning with an almighty hangover. But more than that, after months of anticipation and excitement, it seems Brits are now attempting to regain normality after the big day… or they’re embracing a love of all things royal and British!

For those wanting to hold on to the wave of patriotism that the nation is now swept up in, we suggest a visit to the newly opened Zetter Townhouse, where the decor manages to strike the balance between regal, kitsch and elegant.  Indulge at cocktail hour with such signature cocktails as ‘The Richmond’ (Chivas Regal 12yr, apple honey & Lillet blanc) and ‘Rhubarb Kir Royal’ (Homemade rhubarb cordial & Perrier Jouet champagne).

With the Summer on the horizon there’s a spate of celebrity weddings still to come – Kate Moss and Jamie Hince, Lily Allen and Sam Cooper, Lily Aldridge and Caleb Followell, not to mention ‘alternative Royals’ Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall, whose nuptials have even caused creative ad agency Albion London to produce quirky memorabilia to rival the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s plates and mugs!

If you’re still feeling the Royal Wedding hangover after all the above distractions, our best advice to you is to take yourself to the beach with a pair of HUDSON shorts!
