Sunset Strip – Rock n’ Roll History
Category:
Culture, Los Angeles, Music

Sunset Strip is probably one of the most well known Rock n’ Roll streets of all time. No doubt a strip most infamous for it’s music venues and riotous bars (think the Roxy, House of Blues and Chateau Marmont) but also… it’s got style. Everyone from Guns N’ Roses to The Sex Pistols have graced the sunset strip with their lust for life. Groupies have flocked from all over the world, dressed to impress, in order to catch a glance or snag a backstage invite from their favorite band. Remember that scene in Almost Famous at the RIOT HYATT? That is right in the heart of the Sunset Strip and is also the location of where Ozzy Osbourne threw a TV off the balcony. From bellbottoms to metal studded jackets, this strip has seen it’s fair share of fashion misfits as well as fashion icons. Even your most sought out vintage band tee quite possibly originated from the sunset strip, and most definitely did some major damage during its time. How else did those oh so perfect snags and holes get there?
