Father’s Day in New York
After all he’s gone through and done for you, dear old Dad needs a bit of appreciation shown to him. Though said father should feel the love all year round, there’s no better day than Father’s Day to give him an extra bit of attention. For city dwellers, it’s the perfect excuse to indulge in a few of your favorite past times with dad. A trip to Yankees Stadium might be out of the question considering your baseball allegiances, but there’s hardly a lack of interesting adventures to find in New York. For the more relaxed Dad, start the day with dim sum in Chinatown, followed by a calm afternoon in the park. If your old man is all about the gastronomic pleasures, you could go one of two ways: walking food tour or a prix fixe menu planned at a fancy restaurant. But let’s say your father is more of the cultural individual, in which case a tour of one of the less visited museums would provide the perfect afternoon activities. But whatever you end up doing, the most important realization is that the most important part of the day is simply spending time together.
