Mobile Culinary Delights

The trend may have heated up in Los Angeles, but food trucks are hardly a new idea. Cultures all over the world offer quick and easy delicacies along the side of the road, literally turning a restaurant into a mobile environment. But while LA has their taco trucks, New York took the idea of a food truck and ran with it in a way no one’s seen yet. Now city streets are covered in decorated trucks, offering everything from Korean barbeque to slushies. What began as just a few lone mobile chefs has turned into a massive collection of restaurateurs. And to continue the move towards embracing new forms of culture, each truck broadcasts their location through social media, announcing on Twitter each morning their planned destination. This summer, forgo the regular dinner in a restaurant and opt instead for dinner al fresco,  in a park with one of the many food truck  dishes!
