As a Hudson spy “it girl” about town, some unexpected trends have sprung up.
Male artistic types like Casey Spooner have been sporting Amish “cowboy-inspired” hats. Check him out in the slideshow in a red jacket and gray topper. Ditto for the friend of Doreen Remen, co-founder of Art Production Fund. She’s wearing a Dolce and Gabbana slinky leopard gown and he’s topped his dapper navy suit with a straw hat similar to Casey’s look.
Girls like socialite Fabiola Beracasa (next to Casey and artist Hope Atherton) wears a black-feathered dress similar to what model Coco Rocha donned at last week’s Zac Posen party. (Rocha’s dress is Zac Posen.)
Finally, I’ve been seeing loads of colors, tie-dye, plus red and blue — just like the bloody Union Jack! See film director-turned pastry chef-Arden Wohl in blue dress and matching headband. (Wohl is now studying at the French Culinary Institute.) Whatever the case, self expression to the point of whimsey seems key. Bring it on kids.
